Breast Reduction Surgery in Perth – Relief for Women with Large or Painful Breasts
Breast reduction surgery, also called reduction mammoplasty, is performed to reduce the size and weight of overly large breasts. In addition to aesthetic benefits, many patients experience relief from neck, shoulder, and back pain.
Mr Ran Li offers breast reduction surgery with a focus on health, function, and long-term wellbeing.
Why Consider a Breast Reduction?
- Chronic pain or posture issues
- Skin irritation under the breasts
- Difficulty exercising
- Breast asymmetry
- Emotional or social discomfort
What Does the Procedure Involve?
Excess breast tissue, fat, and skin are removed and the breasts are reshaped to a smaller, more lifted contour. The procedure is done under general anaesthesia, usually with an overnight hospital stay.
Recovery
Most patients return to light activity in 1 – 2 weeks and full recovery by 4 – 6 weeks. Results are long-lasting and often life-changing.
How much does it cost?
If you have private health insurance that covers ‘medically essential breast procedures’, generally all hospital costs and part of the surgery, anaesthetic and assistant costs will be covered. The medicare rebate item is 45523 – please check with your private insurance provider.
Mr Li’s surgical fee varies slightly depending on size of breasts and anticipated duration of surgery. As a guide, the gap payment would generally be between $6500 to $8500, excluding anaesthetist fees.
For fully self-funded patients with no hospital insurance we can provide a full quote from the hospital after the initial consultation. This will generally be between $15,000 – $20,000 total (including hospital, surgeon, anaesthetist, assistant) as an estimate.
