Left breast wide local excision with chest wall perforator flap (LICAP) and sentinel lymph node biopsy

This patient had multifocal invasive breast cancers in the left breast. The red shaded area was excised in order to achieve clearance of the cancers. She had a lateral intercostal artery perforator flap (LICAP) partial breast reconstruction to fill the defect and avoid a mastectomy or significant asymmetry.
The scar extends laterally to the side of the chest wall.
